Noone is immune to the trials and tribulations of this life here on earth. Yes I said noone, not even our Lord Jesus, the son of God was exempted. However, more important than why we face them is for us to know how to deal with them and how to act in these challenging moments.
When facing trials and tribulations we usually find ourselves alone and sometimes left or abandoned even by those close to us. This I should say may be good for us because alone, we have more time to be with God and it is in these moments we see the need for Him in our lives.
In tough times and hard moments we all need something or someone to hold on to. But what if there’s noone or everyone is far from us, or what if there nothing to hold on to? Listen friend, God is Holy and so is His Word. Embracing His Word is embracing God Himself and holding on to His Word is holding on to Him. You may be thinking now, only if I had so much money, if only things hadn’t gone this way or only if this person was here, but perhaps all you have and need right now is just His Word.
I encourage you to read, reread and meditate on His Word below and may His grace be sufficient for you in this moment.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19)
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
