The truth is that at a certain point in life, we will want attention and we will want to be heard. There is that cry from within, one that sometimes words cannot express. A strong desire to be heard and a need for answers, a solution or a way out. What makes this moment of time sometimes unbearable is that everyone seems busy, each one caught up in their own business. Who is there to hear you, to listen and talk to you? Who will guide and direct you, or hold your hand?
Well, the answer may be even closer to you than you think:
Silence… yes silence.
It is usually in the silent and quiet moments that we tend to reason more, think, analyze and have time to make good judgements. Also, this usually has an effect on those who are around and close to us that they begin to wonder what’s going on in our lives.
The Holy One Himself says, “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15) A moment of withdrawal from everything and everyone takes us into another realm, a place where we discover ourselves and also get to discover the Creator and as well even get to find sometimes the root of the problem. This scripture above was an invitation by God for his people to take time to take a moment of silence and listen to His voice, for you can’t hear much when you are talking, and their strength would come from knowing that He is ready to help them.
When we take a moment of silence for our lost loved ones, there are reflections of them in our mind. A moment filled with emotion i should say. It’s as if we are bringing them back with our lives and at times we hear their voice speaking in our inner being. Our God wants to give you reflections as well, of what He did in the past and give you guidance for the future.
Whatever you may be passing through now and wherever you may be, take a moment of silence, lift up your thoughts to God, and He will strengthen you.
